Bitumen Paint

What is a Bitumen Paint? Bitumen itself is obtained through fractional distillation of crude oil. Used in painting, it acts as solvent based and it is flammable. Bitumen paint is a paint that has high level of Bitumen and it is usually black in color. When used as painting, the final product will form an odorless and black coating suitable for metal, wood and felt protection. Bitumen paint is also used for protecting steel from hazardous weather. Because of its characteristics that are anti-corrosive and protective coating, it can be normally applied to materials such as structural concrete, steel timber, iron and steel structures. It also used for its waterproofing elements. Before applying the Bitumen paint, the surface that is to be painted must be cleared of any debris. If you are painting in metal surfaces, any sign of rust or corrosion must be removed first with wire brush before applying the Bitumen paint. Most Bitumen paint supplied in the market is already good to be use and there is no need for thinning. Any painting tools that are used for painting using Bitumen paint must be cleaned with white spirit. Due its flammable nature, any spillage must be clean properly using absorbent material. Apply at least two coats to the surface and allow each coats to be properly dried (normally 24 hours) before applying another coating. Swirl Painting

Swirl Painting is a method of painting some of the object such as guitar into a marble type of finishing. The most common object used for swirl painting is the guitar. It creates a marble like finishes that enhances the artistic touch of the guitar. Some of the techniques that people commonly used for swirl painting are the Drip technique and the Dip technique. The Dip technique is as what it is stated. You dip the object you wanted to paint such as a guitar into a bucket. The painting is done by mixing various colors of paint into a container or bucket. The mixture itself must be at the right viscosity and temperature to get the paint to stick to the object. Once all the colors are added, just swirl around your guitar or the object you wanted into the container for the full effect. The swirl action needs to be done slowly as to create an interesting pattern onto the object. However, this technique needs practice to get it right.  The Drip techniques are not as complicated as the Dip Technique. It uses gravity as you drip the paint color that you want onto the object. Once the paint is dripped, move the object or the guitar around so that the paint color would drip from the bottom to the end and in the process creating a pattern. Repeat this with several paint colors until you get a beautiful pattern. Swirl painting needs a lot of practice for it to be perfect. Swirl paint with other object as a practice before you actually used the object that you intend to swirl paint with. The end product will be gratifying because the pattern created will always be unique. Please visit http://www.mypaintguide.com for more information on painting and painting works.
